#ONstorm I'm on the Fountain Pen feed AND I have aggressively retro-academic tastes, and yes, I would love such an item.
I never used fountain pens but I'm kinda curious coz a guy on a podcast I like loves them but also I have an intense need to colour-code everything and I can't be spending £200 on various fountain pens

Seeing all the pictures from the Pelikan Hub events around the world prompted me to look up their fountain pens on our local pen shop's website. All expensive, for me at least. Are there any affordable workhorse Pelikans that people would recommend? Also, what's the appeal with Pelikan in general?

Well, I cleaned the great goddamn out of my office to appease the house-elf, and she has returned my fountain pen collection, my Xacto knives, and the extremely sharp German scissors. You can't argue with results.
Inks as motivation!!! Also, yes, I can imagine the Inkvent would be a really good way splurge. Now that you mentioned physical stores, I'd probably lay off online shopping for a while and make sure I have to walk in order to get any ink. That might slow down my intake... I hope!
