I doodled a tiny grumpy man #art#myart#bowser

A doodle of a very small, round Bowser. Fangies hanging out of his cat-like mouth. Very grump.

Of course I had to take the opportunity to make this one an inkling! Despite it’s name, this cephalopod is not a squid, but more like cuttlefish. They a smol, 2-3in, and are both poisonous and venomous, secreting a toxic slime if bothered. #invertober#art#myart#splatoon

A dark skinned inkling girl squats to rest and tosses her long volume of tentacle “hair” aside. The hair simulates black and white cornrows that bleed into the striped pattern of the cephalopod. Her lids follow the characteristic wobbling stripe of the its eyes, which makes for a cute angry pout expression. She wears casual black and white street wear, with flutter sleeves, like cuttlefish fins. Pops of yellow on her Squiddidas match her eyeshadow and blazing glare.

More mantis girl. Drawn during a time when my anxiety was high and I was feeling overwhelmed. Sensory overload - too much upsetting info seen and heard. #invertober#repostober#art#myart

Light green girl with mantis raptorial claws tucked up on either side of her face like hair. She squints upward at an unseen source of light, shielding her eyes with one hand. Her other hand covers one ear against some terrible noise. Everything is too bright and too loud.

Sharing my first ever bug girl drawing for #invertober#art#myart#repostober

A light green girl sitting crosslegged and waving with a speech bubble that says "Yo!" She has mantis raptorial claws tucked on either side of her face like hair, fangs and visible knee joints. She's wearing a pink beanie with an alien-like mantis head patch, a white crop hoodie, black athletic shorts and hot pink high tops.

The Fuchsia Flatworm looks like a colorful sea blanket with bunny ears. The little ear-like folds on it’s head are pseudo tentacles. Their aposematic colors warn predators of their bad taste and toxicity. The fuchsia color is made up by white or blueish dots on a red base. #invertober#art#myart

A fuchsia flatworm girl, huddled wrapped up in her fuchsia and red blanket with ruffled yellow trim. Bunny ear like folds sticking up on top her pink head. Yellow fuzzy slippers peeking out underneath.

The Elephant Hawk Moth is beautiful olive green and bright pink, and immediately made me think of 80s fashion. The cute fuzz on their backs looked like a fun pixie cut. I think this one turned out less bug-like than I wanted. 🤔 #invertober #art #myart

A dancer in pink slippers, leotard and pixie cut kneels, extending one white leg in front of her and arcing her arms out behind her. Her pink and olive striped bat-wing crop sweatshirt hangs from her arms like moth wings. Two white ribbons tied hang from behind her neck - a reference to the moth’s white antennae.

I’ve been wanting to draw more bug girls, so I got inspired when I saw the #invertober prompt list! Sunburst Diving Beetles scoot through the water with feathery paddling legs and create little bubble air tanks. So I gave her a fashionable bubble backpack to stow her found treasures. #myart #art

Drawing of a girl swimming. She’s wearing a black suit with yellow beetle markings. Her legs are sepia brown, segmented and feathery. Her black hair also mimics the feathery legs and antennae. She wears a yellow bow on her head, referencing the yellow bowtie shape on the beetles heads.
