Ironically enough, I forgot why I picked up this game, but it ended up being a standout cinematic platformer. Can never have too many of those. It's basically a playable Ghibli movie, which is why the first act being so incredibly fascist threw me for a loop. #blutoid

The first chapter of Uzumaki is all about a man who is so completely obsessed if not possessed by a spirals to where he spirals into madness as his wife and son watch. We don't really get this in episode 1 of Adult Swim's anime adaptation.

The scene when Shuichi finds his dad in the tub is undercut by it being a flashback in the context of the anime. You're robbing the viewer of the horror of finding this guy was so obsessed with the spiral he turned himself into one.
