Yes, but I'm about 20 years behind because I thought I'd be doing it all at once and didn't realise how events out of your control can set you back decades. But if you mean am I a veterinarian who lives in NYC? No.

Oh I was just abbreviating antibiotics. Tractor supply keeps basically all kinds of veterinary medicine if you can make the trip.

Difficult, and I know that it has been horrible in some areas for pet owners, we veterinarians are so upset by this, we want to save every animal but we’re only human, we can only do the best we can. The bottleneck is easing now as the pandemic backlog is almost caught up, but trying to shoehorn in

There are far fewer veterinarians compared to MD’s because there aren’t as many veterinary colleges compared to medical schools, but there are more in the works. It truly is much easier to get on to medical school than veterinary school. Many things occurred to make accessing veterinary care

Wanna know why the Big Corporations (like Banfield, Thrive, etc) want a “ mid level practitioner?” Not to make prices go down for pet owners (it’ll just be higher profits for the corp) but because they envision paying peanuts to hardly trained folks instead of highly trained veterinarians

While I have your attention, Big Corporate veterinary chains in Colorado are tying to allow non-veterinarians (with only on-line training) to perform surgery, diagnose and prescribe for pets. This is extremely dangerous and not needed, those in CO, please vote NO on Prop 129- keepourpetssafe.com

Originally a veterinarian then went back 10 years later for an MD. Pretty wild.

World History students pitching their first (creative) assignments: -cnn-style talking heads on an ostracism in Athens? -ancient veterinary medicine in India? -astrological charts for a bunch of ancient people? -podcast on ancient sewers, but globally, of course? Me: I love you all, never change.

If I was one of those people that only see one side of a job and jump on it before considering it seriously then I'd probably be a veterinarian specialized in cats but since I DO consider shit carefully I just know I wouldn't really have the stomach for it
