I smoked my first joint in '68. It was "grass" then, but "pot" soon became popular. People born in the 1950s might have used both names. In the 80s, "dope" became a minority favorite, but most people didn't use that name. I never liked it. Today, I just call it "marijuana". I think it's pretty.

I'll just note that in an age when almost everyone carries high-resolution recording devices in their pockets, there's a LOT fewer bigfoot and UFO photos/films being circulated, and those which are, are as blurry and indeterminate as those taken with 1950s mass-market/tourist gear. Funny, that.
