I understand getting one of these can get you more salary. But, my group chat has a running joke about how any time one of us deals with an idiotic tech take at work it always seems to come from someone with CISSP in their signature.
This meme reminded me of the gig I had in which the accountants and auditors I was paired with kept referring to me as the CISSP I lasted 3 months. They were compromised two years later by the very thing I was hired to investigate. 🎯
And when interviewing the only thing I ask is “tell me something cool you learned from the CEH/OSCP/CISSP/XYZ” if a candidate has certs, or “tell me what you do to keep learning” if they don’t. The only wrong answers are “nothing” and “I already know all I need to about cybersecurity”
