My background was very STEM and I count myself v fortunate to have come across philosophy of science thanks to the Discworld (specifically this book en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sci... ) - it was barely mentioned in my actual studies.

I haven't read any of the Discworld books. A series is definitely easier to read during term-time as you know the characters/themes/places so don't have to concentrate as much on getting into it.
idk if you know discworld but she was heavily inspired by that setting + the journalist character in there

Ooh, I love the sound of that! I also find it tricky to get into things in term time so tend to go for easy reads. I’m just about to start another Discworld book (I’m slowly but surely working my way through the series).
