Our recommendations for the week ahead
I think with all the 25th and 30th anniversaries of things creeping in, the 90s are starting to feel far enough back now.. the entirety of the 2000s though, just one big soup. a handful of pop culture items, movies and events stick out as a place in time
yesterday the 1 year anniversary of someone i randomly met off of mastodon sending one of my nudes i posted there with @creature.gay, starting the chain of events that would eventually lead me to start using bsky more and start dating her.
Definitely worth registering! The Admiralty and writing the History of the Royal Navy www.history.ac.uk/events/admir...
Im heading east this week to talk about TINY THREADS with some amazing people. Already had my launch with Tananarive Due and it was fire!
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏼💓 I'm sure Lucifer enjoys the turn of events a LOT as touch starved as he is 👀
Decent stack of events in the calendar this week. Couple interesting exhibitions in Bangkok (One about fisheries & the other about the experiences of political prisoners), a stack of protests by HK, Tibetan, Uyghur diasporas & Some updates on cases in the courts in Thailand & updates on Myanmar.
Like during or after the climatic fate event in Sep Arc and some fate and story events in Tri Arc
deeply in love with rings of power and its a love that grows in spite of people obsessed with an idea of tolkien's vision when THAT first stone was thrown by the jackson movies rings of power is ART, it is delivering nothing but a gut-twisting rendition of events untouched by media, and it's great
The Secret Service had a convo with Trump about how he needed to make their lives less stressful by being more security conscious with his events but I guess he doesn't want to remember that. Also, the UN General Assembly is happening in New York so, yeah, the Secret Service is slammed right now.
