Here’s to a fine Sunday morning flying an Embraer E-175 from KSEA to KPHX (Seattle to Phoenix). Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens loom large. #XPlane12#XCrafts#E175#FlightSim

An Embraer 175 in American Eagle livery flies past Mount Ranier with Mount St. Helens looming in the background. It's a somewhat overcast day but blue, sunny skies above the clouds.

Panel for the Cowan Simulation MD500E. The switches are all functional, but still in the process of figuring out what the variables are to map the events to. Could just make them all act as buttons, but vars will make other mappings more consistent as well. #flightsim#games#fs2020

An orange 3d printed panel mounted on a black 3d printed housing.
The panel is inclined at around 45 degrees and has 15 holes in it for switches. Most of the switches have been installed and are labelled for various functions in a helicopter cockpit.
The panel is intended for use in flight simulators.

Granted, it's not a helicopter. But it's a rotary-wing aircraft and it flies in perpetual autorotation! The MagniGyro M-24 Orion is a very cool gyrocopter and it will be available as one of the default aircraft in MSFS2024! Learn more here: https://buff.ly/3BaywTH#flightsim#msfs#msfs2024

I did a short session on a proper flightsim at Heathrow and that was indeed how landing worked then: no full ILS, flight envelope down to me, and then finally the coloured shutter lights to tell you the last bit. The sweat from concentration was incredible, very stressful. Also enormous fun.
