Have some pictures of an early pre-dawn twilight downtown Edmonton through the river valley trees. #yeg

Under a dark twilight cloudy sky, the western edge of downtown is visible in lights through the trees of the river valley. A long horizontal line of white headlights on the High Level Bridge crosses the river valley from plateau to plateau. A bright white arc of the Walterdale suspension bridge crosses the river in the valley, and the orange glow of an obscured Legislature building glows behind and above it.
A less-obscured view of the Legislature as the cupola glows brightly orange and the Walterdale bridge arcs in white out of the river valley's depths. More lights brighten additional government buildings behind the bridge and below the legislature.
The main/central portion of downtown Edmonton, as seen through sparse trees. Major bridges are obscured but office towers loom darkly like the tallest Stantec tower in the center right or are lit up brightly with beams of architectural light, like one of the shorter towers below the Stantec. hints of blue light in the west (left) half indicate where the historical Rossdale power plant is, and all its many illuminated but dormant smoke stacks.
The eastern portion of downtown peeks through a break in the trees. In the right half, the twin arms of the suspension bridge for the Valley Line LRT river crossing glow in the shadows. Eastern downtown is shorter but still glows brightly under the slowly lightening pre-dawn twilight, hidden behind clouds.

VW van. #VW

Satellite and surface observations continue to show areas of fog reducing visibility across portions of south central and southeast Virginia and inland portions of northeast North Carolina. Visibility will average between 1 and 2 miles, but may drop below 1/2 to 1/4 mile at times. Conditions will gradually improve after 10 AM late this morning. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of dense fog. Slow down, use low-beams headlights, and account for extra time to reach your destination safely this morning.

A young squire, with a focused expression and magic stone legs that glow blue through spiralling engravings, is crossing a fast running stream in a brown grassy plain surrounded by mountains. His pants are rolled up past his knees and he is holding his shoes. He is followed by a centaur companion that is looking away from the viewer towards a far off flock of birds in the distant landscape, which is blanketed by an overcast sky and a thin rain.
Though a rain splattered windscreen a terrible woman is stands in a dark, vast, near empty parking lot. From the waist up she is in shadow and below that she is illuminated in the headlights. She has pallid skin, an untamed mane of black hair whipping in the wind and wears a black knee length coat, a pair of dark shades and black knee high boots. Her stance is causal and patient, breathing a cloud of vapour while one hand sits in her pocket. A pair of windscreen wipers pulse across the visage of her. She is looking directly into the car at the young man in the back seat who is reflected in the review mirror. He is wearing a pink hoodie and see’s his miserable fate in her. The top half of his face is in shadow, while the bottom half of his face is lit with the warmth of street lights that cast the shadows of rain drops onto his cheek and nose. He is defiant, but he is also scared.
The sun breaks through a forest of silver birch trees in their autumn foliage and over a misty blue stream being crossed by two centaurs. They’re breathing a warmly lit fog into the cool air and the ripples left by their hooves are the only disturbance on the water that floats a few gold and orange leaves on its surface. The first centaur is pale grey with long black hair, well below their hip and covering their eyes. They wear a garland of mushrooms of a species that can rightly be surmise by the easy manner of the centaur, with their arms folded behind their head in a lazy stretch as they stare into the canopy rather than where they are going. The following centaur looks used to this. He is bay brown, and contently following with his arms to his sides.
On a wet road in a dim foggy forest, a werewolf so dark it could be described as a silhouette with white eyes, looms over a young man laying on the tarmac in a frozen state of fight or flight. The young man is in a dark pink hoodie which contrasts with the otherwise cool, dark pallet of the scene.

Patchy dense fog has developed along and east of US-1, with visibilities at or below a half mile in some areas. Expect fog to persist through daybreak, resulting in poor driving conditions at times. Take extra caution especially on high speed interstates such as I-95 and I-85 through the affected areas. Slow down, use low-beams headlights, and account for extra time to reach your destination safely this morning.

Cars have had automatic headlights for a while now so it's really surprising Federation starships in the future don't have automatic shields.
