You see, mifepristone under the name Korlym is used for hyperglycemia in Cushing's patients. But it can also as an emergency contraceptive; to treat a certain type of brain tumor; for endometriosis and fibroids; or to induce labor. Did lawmakers in LA know that? #WeAreDying 3/

Thankfully, my hyperglycemia is mostly a problem when I'm on prednisone and I've been tested frequently for diabetes due to my reaction to prednisone. But this neverending Raynaud's flare is frustrating.

Anyway, some of you know we've been rolling the dice with speed runs of Prednisone (which is not my friend because it causes my hyperglycemia to spike so I can't remain on it.) Since I tapered off the 2nd run of prednisone a month ago, my Raynaud's has been causing scary issues in my eyes.

I can't take something to reduce my blood pressure because I have low (but not problematic) blood pressure. I can't be on prednisone constantly because it causes my hyperglycemia to worsen and may cause diabetes due to that. It's like....how are regular people supposed to make all these choices?

We buy the snack size Tillamook cheeses so I can handle my hyperglycemia and my husband purposely gets both "flavors" and I've always felt silly that I can't taste the difference, but assumed that it was related to my spotty taste issues. I feel a little betrayed.
