Yeah, not great. Between this and the oral cromolyn shortage, I really worry folks with MCAS won't be able to get their meds.

Huge ballot initiatives this Fall! 2 in particular feels like it'll be close since the MCAS is a tool of wealthy suburbs. Ask any educator though, and hear about the absurd amount of class time wasted on high-stakes testing.

I react to the mask I use (a p100 respirator) and can't swap off p100 respirator with chemical filter since I need the chemical filter for MCAS reactions but I find using magic masto lotion helps a lot. If you are in public a lot this is less helpful but dealing with reaction with meds might be best

One piece I read recently said to remove the mask from the plastic wrapper before use. I have not been doing this so am now trying it. #MCAS is so hard to fathom so I hope you get some relief.

So I had the same problems. I did ok with Armbrust masks in terms of MCAS reactions, but I just don't find them comfortable I'm currently using Moldex Airwave N95s (PPE for welders). The grey ones have activated charcoal built in which really helps with fragrances Downside: pricey (but durable)

Talking to neighbors about Question 2 and one thing sticks out: The students who first took MCAS decades ago are now parents of students themselves. They know the impact high-stakes tests have on kids, and they remember the narrow lens of MCAS. A whole generation did this, and for what? #mapoli

Canadian MCAS folks: Cromolyn eye drops have been recalled due to infection risk. Apparently the preservative isn't effective enough and there could be mold and bacteria growth. #MCAS#ChronicIllnesswww.ctvnews.ca/health/eye-d...
