Started replying to a question about how autistic people see gender, and realized I was wording things very poorly. Essentially to me, gender is made up of two things: a biological component (incorporating hormones, neurology and likely other biological facets), and one’s personality/expression.

I've wanted to write a bare bones guide to life book, paperback & cheap, to centralize information I wish I knew when I was young, I wish my parents knew, I wish my bosses knew. A summary of Neurology, Psychology, Therapy, Philosophy, & Religions. Who say's "There's no guide to life?"

I agreed with your other point, but maybe not this one. I don't think the public considers MS, Parkinson's, or epilepsy to be all in the patient's head. Those are some of the diseases I think of when I think of neurology.

a lot of people have some degree of personal experience with something that resembles what i have because there are so many things that resemble what i have. if my symptoms sound familiar odds are that's because there are at least a dozen things with those symptoms because that's neurology.

[Medical gaslighting] But neurology... Oof. No they were terrible I was also having a lot of weird vascular problems and severe brain fog, plus the problems walking So my doctor referred me to make sure it wasn't a central nervous system problem
