There's at least 103 dead from Hurricane Helene so it seems the South has a choice to make in TX, TN, and FL as to Senate control while considering the Republican stance on climate change, FEMA, NOAA, et al., along with the danger currently presented by warming Gulf of Mexico waters.

I’m from a small town in Southwestern VA a couple hours from Asheville. The whole region plus Eastern TN is home to me, lots of friends and family all over. The area is already struggling and this is so damn hard to see ❤️

I've noticed the same thing in red/purple Knoxville, TN. I think I've seen all of 1 Trump sign & dozens of Harris ones. Some GOP Congressional & regional race signs, but I'm taking hope in the definite differences from 2016 and 2020.

When east TN needed help, Gov Bill Lee offered thoughts and prayers. I have no words. #Helene

Just before #Helene made landfall, when most of the southeastern states had declared a state of emergency & asked the federal government for help, Governor Bill Lee of TN instead declared a "day of prayer and fasting", basically raising a middle finger to eastern TN. *Fuck* that guy. Srsly. 🤬
