I am a technological optimist in principle and I still don't buy most of the doom hype about the AI bubble. But this whole gullible tulipmania phase, before the actual limits of what it can and can't do become more widely understood, is excruciatingly annoying.

It wasn't even that, these companies were losing money, with the idea that *someday* they would be ad-supported. The money came from a low Fed rate and was dumped by all comers into internet products because of low-grade tulipmania.
