Vertumnalia itself is a huge hit. Anhedonia (Ann) wins the xeno-wrangling competition, Moth takes the trivia contest, and Bo finally wins the Bake-off, sharing the stage of his victory with Vers. But the talent competition is where things get wild, starting with Gus's breathtaking performance.
In other news, Gus has been trying to develop rudimentary AI for a glider for Wiki, though they have their sights set on true AI, which is why it's weird that someone gifts them a bag of drone rifle bullets for Vertumnalia. Most people just get secret admirer gifts or silly stuff like that.
Speaking of cider & cake, the group also helps Rex complete & open the Lounge. It's a complete 180 from learning the colony's dark secrets; between karaoke, performances, and slow dances (Moth & Dys? Wiki & Tang?), it's a wonderful night of togetherness, getting everyone in the mood for Vertumnalia.
