I’m reading the Winnipeg Free Press obits, as one does, & there’s almost always a few people I’ve known over the years, either from growing up rurally or thru work. There are several in today’s paper. Made me wonder if it’s like this in other areas of the world or is Manitoba just small like that?
I made my life in Winnipeg and I will never regret that, but some days the distance from my family feels like a hard pull, and days like this, where I can smell the salt air and see everyone again, well, it feels better.
