In my mind a number of things collided. Let me jump you about a bit: 1. we know that knowledge is not processed only as neural pathways. Epigenetics has taught us that trauma can be encoded molecularly.

today we covered epigenetics in class- which, given most of the key studies are "here's a horrible thing that happened to a community and how it affected their descendants", meant that we also spent 30 minutes in a discussion abt the ethics of research in marginalized communities
