Goddamnit, lab safety protocols are all over this sort of thing. It's why they exist. Regulations are written in blood and trainees dying because their long hair got caught in a shop machine or their sweater are flammable when working with strong oxidizers that splash out of a hood.

When I was at UC I worked as a RA at Space Sciences Lab atop the Berkeley Hills with a view you would have died for of the Golden Gate. To quash any rumors about this site: they make pool & spa chemicals, nothing biotech related. What most of my lab safety colleagues are wondering right now: why were water-reactive chemicals in a position to be sprayed with water from a fire suppression system designed for this facility?

It’s a pool chemical lab, I’m not sure what chemicals are used in the industry but here’s a list of common water reactive chemicals. (Sulphuric acid I’m thinking.🤔)

I picked up the Catalyst Game Lab TTRPG 'Destiny', a narrative game in the Battletech universe. I had a great time with 1st ed Mechwarrior back in the day and I really like this game, especially as it has its own rules for 'mechs so you don't have to rely on the minis game, which I own and love.
