Art time again! This time it's yours truly, Sunny: Butterfly Edition and Sunny: Moth Expansion Pack. Day and night. Moth and butterfly. The Sunny Sky and the Light in the Darkness. Lepidoptera, together and apart.

Two anthropomorphic insect girls stand back to back against a light green wash background. On the right is bubblegum pink butterfly, Sunny, looking over her shoulder at the viewer with a wide smile. On the left is a more purplish moth version of Sunny wearing a butterfly pendant, smiling gently up at the camera as well with her eyes glowing bright.

Don't remember who first mentioned that name for me, Peter Marren perhaps? It's cited on the Wikipedia page and on Lepidoptera .eu under the "local names" tab. lepidoptera.eu/species/1135

Congratulations! My name is Ida and I love to paint Lepidoptera! So moths and butterflies^_^ I was kinda surprised to learn that there is no clear rule on what would be classified as a moth or butterfly. And the fourth image is of this Ornamental girl, the personification of Ornamental Art^_^

Yeeeeeee pin club drop pin club drop ...God help me that with all these beautiful, well designed labours of love from @blacksmoke1033.bsky.social, obviously the thing I love the most is the DOOT DOOT skulldog sticker.

A selection of pins and stickers. The stickers are monochrome, with one highly detailed eye, one sketchy skulldog with a trumpet and the words 'doot doot' and one doodle of an Ankylosaurus labelled 'ankylosing spondylitis'. The pins are of a sphinx cat, a skullcat, and two different designs of lepidoptera incorporating animal skulls.

I was just about to snap a pic of this flower when a Copper Butterfly stopped by for a sip of nectar. It even brought its own straw. Photo-bombed by a Lepidoptera!

Found him...them Robinson, H. S., & Robinson, P. J. M. (1950) "Some notes on the observed behaviour of lepidoptera in flight in the vicinity of light-sources together with a description of a light-trap designed to take entomological samples" Entomologist's Gazette, 1(1), 3–15.

First time finding this caterpillar on my tomatoes. Possibly a corn earworm (Helicoverpa zea). Thanks for corrections. #caterpillar#larva#moth#lepidoptera#insects#entomology#tomatoes#pests#gardening
