I have never seen a company with as much vitriol as my mortgage company has for me because: 1) I do not have autopay enabled 2) I do not have paperless billing enabled These assholes get all my money, and they're constantly sending me e-mails and paper mails that call me a dipshit for not caving.

Like a sort of service failure backup, in case 'the tech fails'. I wonder how much energy goes into service failure preparation by users ahead of something going wrong. Like preppers but for services. The digital utopia paperless future is not here yet.
