#Scillybirds another superb report and so quick! Boobylicious coverage of star seabirds but soooooo much more! Well worth becoming a member if you aren’t and supporting these guys. Always the first annual report I receive and such superb quality. Thank you 👍

I am such a sucker for clever signage. These were at the Oregon Coast Aquarium

On the fern covered bank of a small stream, a blue sign with yellow lettering reads “NO COINS NECESSARY TO OPERATE STREAM”
A sign hangs from a rope across a set of rocky stairs. The sign reads “SHOREBIRDS ONLY”

🦉, 🪶, #ornithology#ukbirding#seabirds#birds Grey herons seem to be doing well round these parts. A good place to spot them is the local park where they have lost their fear of humans and it's possible to get up close and personal and get some great photos.

I took this photo on Handa Island in 2013. I thought at the time how the Great Skua looked as if it had the whole world in its bill (which it did for the Guillemot inside the egg) and how precarious it looked. Technically duff but still my favourite of all pics that I’ve taken. #ukbirding#seabirds

No displaced seabirds over Milton CP this morning but incredibly this juv Honey Buzzard flew high east! The 8th raptor species there so far this month, could do with a Peregrine. Also my first Redwings of the autumn #ukbirding#cambirds

Oops! 🙊 Left off Sabines Gull, a 1CY that went through with a handful of Kittiwakes. My 38th and first since 2013. #seabirds
