The half century-long RW/GOP project to return to a pre-FDR US was going along great until Trump. Regulatory, judiciary, and media capture ticking along just fine. But Trump is so awful, people started to really pay attention. The "old" GOP wants to shed him and go back to doing it genteelly.
The first thing we did.. it's so polluted within a couple of days you'd think we had it out for months. Literally the only things they would be attracted to are the cat food dishes and the litter box. But I can't do much about that. It's coming from the garbage shed outside. It's an uphill battle

Yak wool (in the US, dunno about other countries) generally comes from US ranchers or hobby farmers. Similar process, they comb out the undercoat in spring or collect it after it's shed
The trouble is, they're coming from outside. We open the deck door and they're hanging off the screen. There's a garbage shed outside that was cleaned once in the spring, sits on pavement with no airflow, and is full of rejected waste and compost bins.
