No. I don't reckon too many people in NC or TN have additional flood insurance. My house in Nashville is on a hill, so I never worried about it. But people down in the river valleys sometimes get wiped out by this.

I just had a look. Seems you need separate wind and flood insurance, neither of which is included in home insurance, as you say. Across the US, very few people have this, but slightly more do in typical hurricane hotspots like coastal Florida and Louisiana. I guess not many in NC, TN, etc
Followed that one too! Much appreciated. I live on IL/IA border, with family & friends in IL, IN, OH, KY & TN - aka tornado playground. Every possible alert system helps when I'm trying to stay on top of things, so thank you!
The TN side got hit pretty hard. But so far, from what I’ve heard, not as bad as western NC. (Though who knows how reliable that is, will probably be a while before we know full extent.)

Al TN de tv3 ridiculitzen els comuns perquè s’han adonat que la copa amèrica no ha resultat ser el que es pensaven (oh, sorpresa🙄) i continuen seguint-ne l’actualitat com si (repeteixo) ens importés una merda. Això d’aquesta cadena és kafkià.
