Writing Tip: Readers may not remember an obscure detail that you bring up later in the story. It's helpful to remind them a few times if you plan on that detail being important. Reminding someone of a detail 3 times is usually ideal for them to remember it. #writing#writingtips#writingcommunity

Our writing prompt this week is a domestic scene painted by Peter Blume (1906-1992). Are you going to focus on the dish in preparation or the watching woman? #writingprompts#writingtips#writinglife#peterblume#artworks

Writing Tip: You might be tempted to loredump everything at the start of your story. You might be really excited about your lore. But loredumps can be overwhelming and boring. Often it's better to sprinkle lore throughout the story and take your time with it. #writing#writingtips#writingcommunity

Writing Tip: Something hard to visualize when you're writing is light. It can be easy to assume everything occurs in a well-lit space, but different lighting can have an effect on a scene. Eg, If it's dark enough, a character might not see something important. #writing#writingtips#writingcommunity

Writing Tip: Staying up super late to get writing done is practically a writers tradition at this point and I'm not one to judge, but don't ignore your health. Whenever you've finished your big writing binge, make sure to give yourself a decent night's sleep. #writing#writingtips#writingcommunity
