Drat. Need another wingnut.

A bike back fender, which should be attached to the frame on the derailleur side with a bolt, but the bolt is missing.

Google Streetview of the bollard-protected downspouts. For reference, the "catastrophically dangerous"🙄 Old Georgetown Rd bike lanes are protected by space, paint, and plastic flexposts - and they end 1.5 miles north of downtown Bethesda.

Google Streetview of a one-story building, with a white blank wall facing an alley parking lot. There are cars parked nose-in facing away from the white blank wall. There are 5 downspouts spaced along the wall. Four of the downspouts are protected from drivers by bollards.

Yep. (The street in front of the school is a school zone. With a 30 mph speed limit. Walter Johnson HS has around 3,000 students. )

Google Streetview of Rock Spring Drive in front of Walter Johnson High School. There is a school zone sign, and there is a 30 mph speed limit sign.

The speed limit is 30 mph.🤷

Google Streetview of a six-lane divided road, with a pair of bus stops, and an uncontrolled marked crosswalk between the bus stops. A group of high school students is standing in the bus shelter at one of the bus stops.

Just guessing, but under the circumstances, probably Md. Code, Transp. § 21-502(b) "A pedestrian may not suddenly leave a curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle which is so close that it is impossible for the driver to yield."

If you are a driver who doesn't want to hit people, and if you are driving near a school at arrival or dismissal, then you must slow down and watch out.
