Exactly - I had grand ideas of improving teaching with EBT, etc., but there was too much dispute resolution, dealing with HR and OH, etc. It's not really for me.
It's my last day managing other subjects - from tomorrow I'll be able to focus fully on Computing. Although I might have a lie-in first.
I'm just purging links to Replit from my website and deleting Repls - why is Replit SO slow? I've found a few extra programs, though, which I'll work into tasks, so keep an eye on this page during #ScrollFreeSeptemberwww.advanced-ict.info/programming/...
Programming tasks - can be adapted for any language.
But don't we talk about iterative vs. recursive? The Google says "Iterative coding is a programming technique that involves repeating a sequence of instructions or code until a specific result is achieved. It's also known as looping because the program "loops" back to an earlier line of code."
I've just effected my back-to-school haircut. :-(
I shared a few photos on Pixabay - it's interesting to see where they end up! pixabay.com/users/virnul...
I've often thought it odd that my son has so many things stuck in his exercise books - he can barely shut them. Is it a primary thing? I don't think I've ever asked a student to stick anything in an exercise book. Are ring-binders too much of a risk for little fingers?
As string manipulation functions are quite different, I tried to recreate them in Python so that students can compare them. It's not exactly the same, but they'll be OK if they follow the instructions on the screen! console.basthon.fr?from=https:/...
Aren't planning lessons and checking whether students have understood what you've told them two of the most important aspects of the job, and the sorts of things you'd most benefit from doing yourself?
Do they mean no collections of questions/tasks, or are they talking about paper? If it's the latter... most of our lessons are online, and it's a constant battle to get teachers to create online questions that students can actually answer, especially in subjects like maths and science.
