Also, stopping and making a stand so people can evacuate are different things. In a circumstance like that, first and foremost is survival and getting people out, not necessarily pushing back the enemy in every circumstance.

You're right, one person can't stop a tank or a squad of soldiers. That's why every state is supposed to have a militia not affiliated with the government. Also, I'd like to see that degree since everyone claims to be an expert on the internet.
