Gee, imagine that—a groundswell of enthusiasm for video games journalism in an era in which corporate dipshits have gutted the entire business model

📺 Made a starter pack for CRT Gaming! 240p goodness, scanlines, slotmasks, and phosphors. Let's go. (This is still very new and preliminary, so if you post about retro games and CRTs, let me know!)

📖 Bytes of Game Ads 📺 Ah, a combination of Working Designs and the mid-90s gives us an amazing summary of Magic Knight Rayearth's plot. "Three Righteous Babes Plucked From Earth Are Blasting Their Way to Destiny."

A magazine ad for the Sega Saturn version of Magic Knight Rayearth, an RPG originally released for the Super Nintendo. Very cool piece of artwork of the Knights posed together with Hikari brandishing a huge two-handed sword with one hand a letting rip with fire magic with the other hand. Game screenies at the side are arranged vertically.

Always a bit squicky when '90s mags refer to school-aged characters as babes and the like. Ran across one that was very much 'I know they're on the younger side, but I still would. I bet you would too, go on, admit it' ;o;

This is what I mean when I say first drafts are for telling yourself the story, and revisions are for telling the reader.
