My kids were offered a couple of hours at a young carers meetup once a week but we had no way to get them there -- we didn't live far enough away to qualify for transport, but they were too young to walk there alone. I still didn't qualify for an adult carer even for half an hour a day.

I find stations I can't get into easier to handle than stations which claim to be accessible and allow me to book and plan for accessibility which doesn't exist.
It's a complete horror show. I'm kind of pleased to hear it's terrible if you're able-bodied too, though. In a not really pleased way.

I have never had booked assistance work for me at Euston. The ramps from the concourse down to platforms are terrifyingly steep -- I now only travel with an able-bodied adult to help me, but I still need booked assistance because there's no other way to get a ramp from the platform up to the train.
