1) my favorite character is Penrose, the very sweet talking mongoose boy in WHERE THERE BE MONSTERS! He's basically the main character's big brother and I'm really hoping everyone loves him like I do

Thank you! It's a very healthy thing for me to do things that aren't completely controllable lol

I've been working on learning to oil paint for a while but the crucial discovery is how to make myself do it regularly, and it's to not use a palette or water. Turns out the mess gives me anxiety and going straight from tube to canvas is a fun challenge lol

Usually one of those decisions is that the patternmaker assumes that the fatter you are, the longer your arms. The sleeves are always at least 4 inches too long (I am shaped like a moa minus the beak)

Continuing my classic shenanigan of altering a pattern as I go because I come across a decision I disagree with

In my experience (comics), the harder I tried to purposefully remove the “cringe” from my book, the blander, more vague, and less interesting it got. I had to add a lot of the stuff I thought was “cringe” back in. Don’t be afraid of your work evoking emotions in your readers! Own it!

Without fail, whenever I have locs I miss having loose hair, and whenever I have loose hair I miss locs

I dreamed that I had locs again and they were so long they touched the floor. Dream me was FEELING MYSELF
