I don't feel like the national media is conveying right now what a catastrophe is unfolding in western North Carolina.

smh. more relevant if they're talking politics is how the devastation will make it difficult for people to vote *at all* if their entire town has been washed out, particularly due to the effects of voter disenfranchisement laws.
