Today we watched a Big Bang Theory episode involving citation checking, following an article being written. It was seen as a basic task to farm off (what they were doing wasn’t clear!) I enjoyed many critiques from a library, literature search & referencing perspective #SalientSeptember#Day29
British Library is hosting a series of webinars focused on #librarieswww.eventbrite.co.uk/e/libraries-...
This webinar will explore ways libraries can work with writers and other artists to advance climate action.
My weekend has had lots of excitement as my husband has finally put up on his website lots of the amazing proper painted stained glass art that he acquired a few weeks ago. It’s mostly been little rondels selling, but it’s lovely to have things like this to look at www.instagram.com/p/DAgnRlDthz...
I hate chatbots. You try to get through all the ridiculous questions only to be told that it cannot answer your question and you need to speak to a service agent (yes, I know!), but that none are available at the moment, and here are the times and days that they’ll be available.
Today I have ‘just’ been getting on with jobs. Two loads in the washing machine, three loads in the dishwasher, multiple meals, clothes folding. Etc. This could seem like a bad day, but was a good one, accompanied by a good audiobook, which I’ve nearly finished #SalientSeptember#Day28

Enjoying the last few times when, in being low on apples in the fridge, I can go out and pick a couple from a tree in the garden. A lot from this tree have ended up on the ground, but the ones I’ve picked have been useful.
A very interesting piece on where the art of storytelling lies. Unsurprisingly, it’s literally in the telling of the story. :) A great book which has brought a huge amount of happiness to children and parents alike. However it has also led to me being poked with brooms by overexcited children!
Washing’s been out on the line for a couple of hours already. A month ago on a sunny day I’d’ve already had a 2nd wash in the machine. But this isn’t sensible in late September & single figures, is it? I doubt the clothes from this 1st wash will be dry by the evening. Oh well, at least there is sun!
Today I went on campus, just for a couple of hours on a normally non-working day. I attended the new taught PG students lunch, and saw a bit of what they were doing beforehand. A great atmosphere, and lovely to have quite a few people come and ask me questions. #SalientSeptember#Day27
