You can use Microsoft Edge to use the left panel. Edge is Chromium but I am unsure you can do this on a Chromebook, I have never tried.

I will take the opposite approach, I'm horrified they are using the app chooser.

I bet... I wish as teachers we had more training on this. My own son is a challenge with his ADHD but he really wants to do well!
