After spending more than 2 months with friends that have kids im solid in my decision of not procreating… that being said it wouldn’t be a deal breaker if a possible partner has them, but im not parent material, I just dont like it

Im a wildlife biologist and my expertise, besides raptors, is to connect other biologists so we can all work together and then being put aside for those projects… fun fucking times
Couple days after our first immature we caught this juvenile Golden Eagle… still no tag on it but it went thru measurements, blood draw, and banding! The weather is not gonna help us this coming two week I have left of being here but we will still give it out best! 🪶🧪
It is sad cause it would be interesting to also study the mortality of these immies. But in our case we already tagged a couple and we lost all the tags so only adults unless the end of the season approaches and no adults have been trapped.
We are gonna tag the adults cause the mortality in immatures is so high that’s not worth losing thousands of dollars on tags that are gonna get lost. So we are measuring, drawing blood, and banding the immies
Yup! In the bluffs during winter you can see them!!! It’s a pretty wild experience to be honest 😊
