Angels & Insects was my first A S Byatt (charity shop find) & the second novella (the book is two separate novellas) was a challenging read for me. I often felt I wasn’t brainy enough. But I stuck with it & the final two paras of Angels (pasted into my notebook in admiration) just perfection #books

A day to go travelling. I knew dandelions were useful to wildlife but have recently learned they support 50 (!) different species of insect and the seeds are food for birds including sparrows and goldand goldfinches 💛🤍
