The interim report of the Commonwealth’s rental crisis inquiry was released today. Given the public response, the interim report seeks primarily to define terms and describe the lay of the land in housing - and I think does a very good job at it.

Bit of a worry. Shouldn't we be informed? Too hot to handle: climate crisis report so secret Albanese government won’t even reveal date it was completed

Politicians looking very pleased with themselves in Parliament always triggers me. Even when they’re doing something good, it gives the vibe that they’re doing it to make themselves feel/look good rather than because they are totally on board with what they say is the reason for what they’re doing

Can anyone explain how this isn’t a social disaster unfolding, while govts do next to nothing? “Renters are facing a ‘diabolical situation’ as unit rents rise more than 7 times more than wages. Rents across the capital cities rose *26%* for units in a year” www.brisbanetimes.com.au/property/new...

‘A disaster’: Unit rents rising more than seven times as fast as wages

Tenants face a “diabolical situation”, one bank economist warns, made worse by the cost-of-living crisis. Is any relief in sight?

The raw stench of bloody war cash has absolutely broken the brains of fossil fuel company executives. They're ditching climate plans left, right and centre and just diving head first into maximum emissions, maximum climate damage. Absolutely unstoppable trend. https://tinyurl.com/49bn72d5
