Perfect running conditions... www.instagram.com/p/C_2f2vnNm9L/
Best of luck for the Lap tomorrow. Hope the weather gods are kinder to you 🤞
Definitely taken a lot of us by surprise. We were meant to be starting tonight at 10.30 but changed to tomorrow at 6am. This morning got email saying it wasn't safe to do the full route. Slightly relieved as I remember one section from last year that would be really dangerous on snow/ice
Out in Switzerland for Wildstrubel 110. It's very much turning out not to be the planned and trained for challenge. We're now going to be running the amended 70km route but better to be safe, there's a lot of snow out there and -10 to -15°C windchill. Still feel weirdly cheated though 🤷♂️
If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it

Best of luck Neil, hope you have a great day out there despite the weather. I'm back to give Wildstrubel another go this weekend and the forecast isn't exactly great there either. Not really mentally prepared for sub zero conditions yet 🥶
Yeah, tbh I do miss the running community over there but not so much the bots, toxicity or manbaby. Would be lovely if everyone would just move here!
@c00ps.bsky.social welcome to BlueSky Coops! You also had enough of space Karen over at the other place?
Same here. But the course at UTMB is so exposed that you very rarely get into shade and it's very difficult to keep your effort level down on some of those climbs. And I think temperature change at night (although not this year as wasn't really cold) catches people out a fair bit too
Shame, sorry to hear that. Seems the DNF rate this year was very high. Apparently it's much higher in hot years than cold years
