There was, but they seemed to change what that was a few times in the run up to the event and seemed a few items were slightly open to interpretation

There's a fair bit too criticise the race organisers for but kudos to them to managing to put on safe races in the conditions and keeping everyone safe. Was definitely a shock to be in those conditions though you're right!

Indeed, and I'm definitely being turned off UTMB races more and more. Not even sure I want to go back for the big dance, although I'll no doubt change my tune about that by the end of next week

Thanks! The actual route is epic, gutted to not experience it again. I had a DNF last year and was hoping to put that to bed. Not sure I'll be back next year though 😢

That video sums it up pretty well! I think where they had snow we largely had mud, but no race had great conditions. The 50k race also got changed and conditions on that course were crazy. The organisers did well to get any racing done to be fair to them (but communication hasn't been great)

Not a bad view for breakfast though, I'll take that

It was genuinely awful thanks 🤣 Got it done but it wasn't exactly enjoyable, definitely one where I questioned my life choices

There was so much not to enjoy about it but yes the constant mud didn't help. The re-routing was both super tough and not the best of views. Maybe I'll look back on it more fondly in time 🤷‍♂️

Should've read this before the race. I did not enjoy it, it was unspeakably awful 🤣
