I didn't know that! That's a great start, thanks for telling me!! I'm going to start using this. 🙇♂️ (My actual aim here is to get widespread uptake, so that whole networks can migrate with lower cost—and I worry that asking people to switch clients to post is too big a barrier…)
I spent the morning looking into this. I think the key strategy would be to make a browser extension which monkey-patches the "Post" button and crossposts to other services. Then no API access needed. Hoping to nerd-snipe someone into it! @rose.bsky.teamx.com/andy_matusch...
I get it, but it’s too big an ask (for me)!
Transclusions are part of how contextual backlinks are implemented, but the term is typically used to mean something different. The contribution unique to Roam (AFAIK) is that links to a page/node are displayed not as a simple list of other pages (as on Wikipedia) but as excerpts with context.
Right I think you’d need to do it with something like a Deploy to Vercel button so that each user would have their own app ID / key. Obviously super high-friction but you could maybe get a handful of “power users” that would help bootstrap. Maybe adapt https://gitlab.com/fedstoa/moa?
New home of Moa. Cross post between Mastodon, Twitter, and Instagram. Original repo on GitHub https://github.com/foozmeat/moa
Request: cross-posting service for Twitter->Bluesky. I’m probably not going to post actively in both places, but would love to crosspost here to help bootstrap chatter (I do for Mastodon).
