Just moments ago I threw in one obligatory "AI" for a contribution call where we're submitting work about algorithms.Just moments ago I threw in one obligatory "AI" for a contribution call where we're submitting work about algorithms.

Anyway, sometimes the thought of rebuilding my Twitter network of 4,000+ here is just too daunting and I give up.Anyway, sometimes the thought of rebuilding my Twitter network of 4,000+ here is just too daunting and I give up.

I spend most of my social time outdoors running races, trail running, hiking, snowshoeing, and orienteering. That's the part where I retain my sanity. Always looking forward to meeting up for runs at conferences!I spend most of my social time outdoors running races, trail running, hiking, snowshoeing, and orienteering. As Pride Month is approaching I am offering a workshop on how to better promote LGBTQ+ voices in STEM www.theastroholic.co.uk/workshop I shared it on LinkedIn and got my first hate post! Get in touch if you don't want your employees looking this stupid with your company name on it!

A blanked-out profile it says energy manager at NASA replying saying "rainbows have nothing to do with science"
My reply underneath is "Sir Isaac Newton, father of optics, discoverer of the colour theory, and lifelong bachelor ( eye emojii in brackets ) would like a word... "

If you're wondering about my name; Yes, I'm German, originally. I grew up in the US with some family that moved here, but most of my family is still back in the old world. I split my time between both countries as much as I can. So, Hallo! If you're wondering about my name; Yes, I'm German, originally. I split my identity as academic researcher by day with my identity as a musician by evening. I play violin in the Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. It's no easier, but feels like using the other half of my brain, lets me speak other languages, and collaborate in a completely different way.I split my identity as academic researcher by day with my identity as a musician by evening.
