When The Onion makes you cry…

88! That is amazing!

The positive is that once I start writing, the first draft goes very quickly. The negative is that times like now, when I have probably 50-60% of the plotting done, I’m frozen and can’t start until I figure get out the other half. I wish I could just go ahead and start, but my brain won’t do it.

I’m a true plotter. I like to have a full chapter-by-chapter outline before I start. That’s not to say that I don’t adjust the outline as I go. But I love structure.

Tuesday at 11pm, I wasn't even going to do #DVpit. I was just going to watch and learn. By Thursday I had six hearts from agents and a request from a big five editor to send it on submission. Today I got my first full request. Sometimes that ADHD impulsivity pays off. ;)

I listen to this song…a lot. So much that my kids put it at the top of their “End of the World” playlist. (Why does my nine year old have an “end of the world” playlist? What does this say about my parenting?)

Went into DVpit thinking it would be a rehearsal for pitch writing, not expecting any responses. Wound up with six invites to query and interest from a Big Five editor. Thrilled but panicking a bit. Anyone willing to read my query/synopsis before I start sending? Sapphfic | authors | romancelandia
