Riparian leaves decompose fast in the presence of shrimp. However, post hurricane increases in shrimp abundance do not result in faster decomposition in our study streams in Puerto Rico. Sharing our latest publication: link.springer.com/article/10.1...

Meteorological data is rather important for our stream studies. One of our duties is to maintain the met equipment at El Verde Field Station, Puerto Rico, part of the Luquillo LTER. The best part is to enjoy the views from the top of the tower, spectacular!
