Learning about project organization using visualization tools. We learned the importance of conducting scientific research and having a good understanding of how parts of projects are linked together to achieve an overall goal. Thanks to Mariely Vega for offering the workshop to our REU students!
El Verde REU 2024 proposal presentations Our REU students presented their summer projects. They presented various plans and ideas, from flow reduction to macroinvertebrate assemblage. It was a great opportunity to learn about their diverse topics and different approaches to their experiments.
First Hike to Prieta conquered! We finally got to the El Verde Field Station and learned about the trail to Prieta, Tabonuco trees, Ortiga, and Palo de Cristal. We saw the SteamFRE project site and learned from Rafa about the electric exclusion project. We are excited to begin our research!
