You are right and unfortunately it goes beyond those reporters. Trump moved the threshold so far to the right and so far towards stupidity and vulgarity that a well put and clean cut extremist like Youngkin seems appealing to pundits and some voters (the ignorant and the ashamed racists and bigots).
I meant is as a recent phenomena ever since the terrorist attacks. Also, I should have clarified that people that use the term Hamas Lover might be liberal, but are not experts. The experts use less inflammatory language.
