world building some dance and performance into my character's homeworld setting

Ambrose is a popular traveling entertainer who performs contortion and dance and song. With their long tails, I thought it might be interesting for the tail to be danced separately from the body, as a 'character' such as a land slug (serpent analog). Hand gestures include a lot of claw-grips, the dances invoke the imagery of large predatory animals that live alongside them as both a source of awe and fear, since their species are still vulnerable to predation. Hair is tied into a looped braid that goes under the arms, to keep hair out of the way during what is a very athletic performance.
