I updated to the most recent version of Word, and it's made copyedits a nightmare because it's auto deleting comments from the editor as I address them. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make that stop--and Googling is no help because of the AI bullshit. anyone know how to fix this?

I'm weighing a copyedit, and I'd love to get your two cents. The original phrase is "the things she'd staked for him," and the copyeditor thought the use of staked (as in, wagered or bet) was too obscure. But "risk" (her suggestion) messes up the cadence of the line for me. What say you?
