Oh 100 percent! I just had a concept for a TTRPG that had demons making pacts with humans but the humans not really knowing much. I wondered if rolling a random demon might be compelling and I'm sure the answer would be yes for some; but both having players choose or random works in the end!
Honestly? Shoot your shot and DM him and say, "Love that you followed me here, it's be so cool if you followed me via Bluesky - link - and then say, hope to see you in a less toxic place!" And then you bamf out of there! I'm nowhere near as big as him but I'd respect that!
