Probably? Tbf, at that age, I read rated "R" books but it's different for everyone. For content, there's violence, action, and death. Nothing sexually explicit if that's a worry. Decent amount of foul language, but it's p mundane 4-letter words. No worse than your Dresden Files or Supernatural.
