Just submitted grades which means I'm finally done with a very long semester. Celebrating the end of my first term teaching too :) There were some ups and downs but we got through and they learned some German even!

The Worm and The Cheese by Carlo Ginzburg is a relatively easy and very interesting read about medieval Italy and I always like The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Kuhn, but I’m not sure if either are what she’s looking for

So I offered to let my German 101 students repeat any daily homework assignment for full credit. Life is busy, some of them missed a couple, and I don't think that should be a penalty on their permanent transcript. But now it's grading crunch time. Question: Progressive grading or rookie mistake?
